Perrinormal
Welcome to the world of plunderphonics

The Perrinornal has been exploring hybrid music and Plunderphonics for almost a decade and are the UK's leading exponents of the style.
Formed by Kevin Perry & Chris Russell Normal, the duo see music as a creative form rather than a commercial one.
Their music draws upon all styles (rock, pop, jazz, folk, ethnic, classic, film score to avant-garde) and ages and new sounds, scales and ideas.
Rarely are two tracks the same but their is a distinct approach rather than a distinct sound, the down fall of most pop bands.
Champions of the 'anti-pop' style, their music is an antidote to the processed plastic pop pumped out by record companies and commercial radio stations.
Original in style, yet there are familiar threads as the band draws upon a wide variety of influences.
It's innovative, challenging, sometimes dark, on the edge of avant-garde, surprising but refreshing and often very pleasurable.
The band have published two CDs to date, Nonsensible & Are We There Yet? with a third in production, featuring the first ever plunderphonic version of the Hendrix classic Hey Joe.

This is a Plunderphobic version of the Jimi Hendrix version of Hey Joe. The backing singer, Catherine Arnold, is the great niece of Daphe Bonnet the original backing singer on Hendrix's track. Fender Telecaster and Flying V (as used by Hendrix) were used to record the guitar.

Wobbly Tricycle (7:40) [7:36]  lyrics
Another classic Plunderphonic. Slower than many of our tracks, this plays tribute to a classic piece of music. Very theatrical. A odd mix of instrument, especially the oboe. Sound almost demands an animation.
